Murray Roars into the Final

Oh it was good! It was really, really good! We have an Australian Open finalist for the first time since John Lloyd in 1977! After a worryingly poor start and going one set down (I apologise to my work colleagues for my foul mouth comments and hitting of the desk) Andy Murray produced some spectacular stuff to ignite the atmosphere and go through to the final in style. If anyone has seen a better point than the one to break Cilic’s serve in the second set then they’re either a fool or a liar.

To be fair the Croatian did look dead on his feet by the end of the match after playing three five set matches on his way to the semi final but take nothing away from Murray’s performance, another particular highlight was in the final game when the scot defied the laws of physics and reality to produce one of those shots that actually goes around the net rather than over, which I had to explain to one of the guys in the office, is legal!

Whilst we’re on the subject of physics I’m sure many people saw the astrological phenomena that took place and thus now proves the existence of black holes. How big is Andy Murray’s mouth? After winning another miraculous exchange of shots Murray’s chops threatened to engulf all that surrounded it and not even let light itself escape as he screamed his trademark “COME ON!!!!!” I for one was looking around for things bolted down to grab onto!

Anyways well done to the man and he can now get some rest before facing either Tsonga or Federer in the final. Sunday morning 8.00am GMT, sleep is for wimps!
