More sport for Britain? Step forward www. intosport.com

Gordon Brown has called for an end to the medals-for-all culture in schools as he announced plans to widen the choice of sports available to pupils, encourage more girls to take part and give all children the chance of five hours of sport a week by 2012.

“We want to see, over the next four years, a transformation of the sporting culture in our schools, giving young people opportunities in a whole range of sports that they had never had before”.

So there’s never been a better time to start providing the teachers, coaches and pupils of Great Britain with a home for world class sports coaching content, for free! With the launch of www.intosport.com this winter we’ll be providing the 2012 generation with a resource that has been sadly lacking in previous years. By gathering all sports within one resource, www.intosport.com will provide a wider sporting experience for its users and also encourage beginners into sport by providing the knowledge, support and connections to get into the wide range of sports played within Great Britain.

As for encouraging children to play at least 5 hours of sport per week, we know that if a person understands a sport, is confident about how to play it, and knows where to find supportive resources, they are more likely to participate. So step forward the home of world class sports coaching, online and free.

That’s all for now, so what are you waiting for? Get intosport.com
